So for a start series 1:
Today I tried to gather facts about PL/SQL history from various source and come up with following paper.
In 1991, Oracle Corporation releases its own procedural language extension to SQL called PL/SQL. It is loosely based on Ada (a variant of Pascal developed for the US Dept of Defense). Before this only way to do procedural programming to do interaction with Oracle Database was to use PRO*C.
